Our Academy is open to any child aged 4-6 years old. It's the lifeblood of our club as the Academy of today are the teams of tomorrow. The Academy is thriving and is a fun, safe place for children to learn to love the game of football.

The Academy is run by FA qualified and CRB checked coaches. We have indoor facilities for the cold winter months and the boys and girls also play friendly games and tournaments against asademies from other local clubs.

Sessions run every Saturday morning:
  • October - April - 10:00am to 11am (Indoor, Manor Farm Community Centre)
  • May - September - 10:30am to 12pm (Outdoor at our Grounds)
First session is FREE, Cost thereafter is £3 per session. All children must wear shinpads and for outdoor sessions football boots are highly recommended.

Please contact Simon on the number above for more details or any member of the committee.

Tournament vs. Ace Academy - 12th November 2016

Yesterday saw our Academy have their first friendly tournament versus Ace Academy. Both Academies fielded two teams and played three games each and a penalty shootout.

Rich & Ken's Team
Match 1... Lost 4-0
The scoreline was harsh on our boys as the teams were very evenly matched, the main difference being one special player from Ace Academy who was different class and scored all 4 goals for Ace.

Match 2... Drew 0-0
This game had chances for both teams, with Charlie pulling off some great saves and up the other end, Billy, Ashton and George all coming close.

Match 3... Lost 3-0
Again we were undone by the skills of the Ace Academy star player but some brilliant defending by all the lads especially Riley and Mikey made sure the defeat wasn't as big as the first match.

Our penalty shoot out finished 4-4!!

Andy's Team
First match 1-1.
Pretty even match, Tommie and Archie seeing a lot of the ball, Clark and Jevaughn working hard and Alex done very well in goal. The goal came from penalty which Tommie slotted home into the bottom corner.

Second match lost 3-1.
Started off well, changed keepers twice Jevaughn and Tommie both having a go in goal, couldn't be faulted for the goals and both pulling off some cracking saves. Archie grabbed our goal at 1-1 after some good pressure by all the team. A mention for a star player from ace acadamey who stood out and I think scored all 3 of their goals.

Third match 0-0.
Change of goalkeepers again Archie having a go between the sticks and Harley and Tommie both making good runs with the ball. A couple of close chances for either side. Alex, Clarke and Jevaughn all getting stuck in! All of the players gave it there best shot and done themselves proud.

Both teams enjoyed the penalty shootout at the end which we won and Alex saving one of the post.

We are very encouraged and excited from what we saw yesterday and look forward to helping develop these great bunch of lads!
